What is Podiatry?
Podiatrists are skilled in performing minor surgeries, like partial or total nail removal, to fix painful, infected ingrown nails. They’re also trained to identify foot-related conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis.
Additionally, podiatrists learn to prevent and manage these conditions’ effects on the feet and lower limbs. This includes conducting diabetic foot exams, assessing skin and nails, and treating infections like toenail fungus or verrucas to maintain foot health.
Every podiatrist has to undergo a three year BSc degree at university, following the same educational path as Podiatric Surgeons.

Routine podiatry appointment
Including corns and callus management, ingrowing nail and infected nail treatments, fungal nail and foot treatments, verruca treatments.

Ingrowing toenail removal
Nail surgery is carried out once a week from King Street Therapy Rooms, using Susol nail surgical instruments. Price includes next day follow up appointment and dressings for two months after surgery with open SOS return in case of post surgery concerns.

I am a fully qualified and insured podiatrist having worked in the NHS previously and now full time in private practice, with clinics held at King Street Therapy Rooms.
I also carry out home visits for the housebound and very elderly, who struggle to get out once a week. I can also visit people in hospital.
All our treatment rooms are relaxing environments and come fully equipped.
